A Word from Rev. Mbuso Kubone

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we journey together in faith at Langa Methodist Church, I am reminded daily of the strength, resilience, and hope that emanate from each member of this congregation. We are a church rooted in history, yet forward-looking in mission, striving to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ in every aspect of our lives.

It is my prayer that as we continue our spiritual journey, we do so with hearts full of compassion, hands ready to serve, and lives that reflect the transformative power of God’s love. Let us remember that we are not just a congregation, but a community called to heal, uplift, and transform the lives around us.

A-Pillar of Faith and Resilience in the Western Cape

Langa Methodist Church is proudly situated in the vibrant and historic township of Langa, named after John Langalibalele Dube, the first president of the African National Congress. It stands as the first black church to be built in the Western Cape following the forced removals of African communities from Ndabeni, Retreat, Kensington, District Six, and Simon’s Town, continuing to serve as a beacon of hope, faith, and resilience in the community.
